Community & Code of Conduct

1. Respect and dignity

Treat Nexters, mentors, administrators, partners, volunteers and guests with dignity and respect.

2. Professional communication

Communicate responsibly. Bullying, harassment, intimidation, threats, humiliation, discriminatory abuse and hate speech are not acceptable.

3. Safeguarding

Sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, grooming or inappropriate conduct towards any participant is prohibited. Enhanced safeguards apply where a participant is below 18.

4. Privacy

Do not publish or distribute another person's private messages, telephone number, home address, photographs, personal documents or other private information without appropriate permission.

5. Platform integrity

Members must not:

• share restricted passwords or verification codes;
• impersonate another person;
• attempt unauthorised system access;
• manipulate elections;
• submit fraudulent opportunity applications;
• deliberately interfere with platform functionality; or
• misrepresent achievements or qualifications.

6. Mentorship and opportunities

Members should honour reasonable commitments made to mentors, programmes, projects, internships and partners and communicate promptly where they are unable to fulfil an agreed commitment.

7. Intellectual property

Respect copyright, trademarks and other intellectual-property rights. Plagiarism and unauthorised reproduction of protected materials are not acceptable.

8. Financial integrity

RYLA Next must not be used for fraudulent investments, deceptive schemes, unauthorised fundraising or financial exploitation of members.

9. Representation

Do not present a personal statement as an official position of RYLA Next, Iretura Limited, Rotary International or another organisation without appropriate authority.

10. Reporting concerns

Members are encouraged to report serious misconduct, exploitation, harassment, safeguarding concerns or security incidents through appropriate RYLA Next channels.

11. Consequences

Depending on seriousness, breaches may result in guidance, warning, restriction, removal from leadership, suspension, termination of access or referral to appropriate persons or authorities.
